Naomi Moon Siegel – “a trombonist and composer of great style and distinction” (Earshot Jazz) – presents her original music with Marina Albero on piano, Kelsey Mines on bass, and Chris Icasiano on drums.

A winner of an Earshot Jazz Golden Ear Award, her expressive trombone playing is changing the way the instrument is heard and viewed. Fusing folk melodies with fantastical soundscapes and circular grooves, she is a model of creative self-expression inspired by the jazz tradition. She is one half of the folk/punk/jazz duo Syrinx Effect, a member of Wayne Horvitz’s Royal Room Collective Music Ensemble and an active collaborator in the Seattle and Missoula music scenes, performing regionally and internationally.

Press from her latest release on Slow & Steady Records entitled Live At Earshot:

"This is music that’s rich with the deep melodic reveries and the warm harmonic embrace that made Siegel’s 2016 release Shoebox View so damn enjoyable." - The Best Jazz on Bandcamp - May 2019

"Trombonist/composer Naomi Moon Siegel has developed a consistently captivating body of instrumental music built on stately folk-like melodies, coiled grooves, and lapidary voicings." - San Francisco Classical Voice

"This live recording might change the way you think about jazz trombone." - Absolute Sound
